Resumo

This paper presents the design and simulation of a digital multivariable optimal control based on LQG technique (Linear Quadratic Gaussian) for an active suspension system of a light vehicle. The LQG technique was used to determine multivariate digital controller system. The dynamic model with and without the designed control were simulated using Simulink / MATLAB software. The results shown that the active suspension has advantages over passive suspension, since its presents reductions in displacement of the springs and increase in passenger comfort by reducing the vertical acceleration of the vehicle.
