Jump Linear Quadratic Optimal Control Applied to a Wind Turbine Generator System

Resumo

This paper deals with the optimal control problem of a wind turbine generator system (WTGS). A Markov jump linear system (MJLS) model is built for the WTGS from several interconnected subsystems: a rotor, a pitch actuator, a mechanical, and an electrical subsystem. A linear quadratic optimal control problem is proposed and results of a numerical simulation are presented.
