Resumo

This paper is dedicated to the fuzzy uncertainty analysis of a vertical rotor supported by three tilting-pad journal bearings, which is used to model a Kaplan turbine of an energy unit generator. The inherent uncertainties of the model are the nominal oil temperature of the each bearing which is then considered as fuzzy inputs for the model. The analysis was limited to the orbits of the turbine guide bearing and to the generator guide bearing, and through the uncertainty analysis the uncertain envelopes of each guide bearing was generated. The fuzzy analysis was carried through the α level optimization technique due to its mathematical simplicity and to its reliability.
