Resumo

We consider the dynamics of a spring pendulum as a function of its total energy and a second parameter accounting for the physical characteristics of the system. We analyze how the energy of the system is distributed between each degree of freedom. The energy distribution depends on the initial conditions and it is not constant in time. However, it presents well defined features. We also verify that the energy distribution preserves its characteristics for different values of the total energy, although the behavior of the system may change a lot according to this parameter.
