Resumo

It presents a solar oven made from scrap of refrigerator destined to baking of foods as pizzas, cakes, breads, hamburgers and others. The manufacturing and assembly processes of this oven will be shown which has as its main feature the low cost. Tests will be performed to verify the efficiency baking many different foods and their results will be compared with other types of solar ovens, whose reviews can be found in specialized literature. Thermal and economic viabilities of this solar oven will be analyzed, that may provide the solar energy socialization in poor communities and a source of employment and income generation. An advantage of this oven, when compared to others constructed and tested in LMHES / UFRN and also in some other countries around the world, is its capacity to bake many foods simultaneously.
