Resumo
The design and analysis of vehicle systems are subject to several sources of uncertainty. Road profile, properties of the suspension parameters, material properties, and vehicle loading conditions are some of the sources of uncertainty which are present in such systems. Many times the determination of statistical parameters representing these variables within some confidence is difficult and sometimes very difficult like in the case of road profile data. The Fuzzy interval analysis can prove to be a useful tool to quantify these uncertainties by providing important information such as extreme limits in the system behavior for the system that should be taken into account in the design stage. The work presents results related to the analysis and quantification of uncertainty for a simplified suspension system subjected to different load conditions, uncertain parameters of road profile and suspension parameters.
