Análise do sistema estrutural do edifício sede da Procuradoria geral da república: estudo de caso do bloco "B"

Resumo
The work of Oscar Niemeyer, known as the Attorney General's Office of the Brazilian Republic, is composed by a set of 6 buildings. The Block "B", which houses the prosecutors' cabinets, has a predominant construction system of high performance reinforced concrete and a conventional structural system, supported by two pillars rings plus the rigid central core. The building was erected in a conventional way, starting from the pillars at the subsoil level, to finish on the last floor with a constant section. Throughout the construction phase, the concreting of the slabs and the horizontal elements of beams was executed for each floor and was made possible through the supports of the pillars. Through the computer program SAP2000, it was verified that the efforts and displacements of the entire building are within the limits of the Brazilian standard ABNT NBR 6118. Data and graphs were elaborated regarding the normal stresses, displacement and bending moment in the beams of the structure.
