Resumo

This work presents the implementation of a numerical code for calculating the geometrical properties of solids modeled in CAD programs and exported in IGES format. Initially, various types of representation of curves and surfaces are shown finishing with NURBS surfaces. Then it is shown how the surface area and volume were calculated on trimmed NURBS surface using the radial integration method. Finally, numerical results obtained by the program were verified through analytical results and, for more complex solids, the surface area and volume values given by SOLIDWORKS software.
