Resumo

In the context of the nonlinear structural analysis, this paper brings a numerical computational study involving shallow and non-shallow steel arches considering large displacements and material inelastic behavior. The CS-ASA computational platform, which perform advanced nonlinear static and dynamic analysis of structures and is based on the Finite Element Method, will be used to carry out the arches numeric analysis. A variety of geometric configurations of arches with different cross-sections, boundary conditions and loading conditions (distributed and concentrated) should be analysed. Therefore, it will be possible to evaluate the representativeness of the nonlinear effects for different configurations of the structure.
