Resumo

In this paper, we will present a method to determine some uncertain structural parameters, important both in the design phase and in the rehabilitation of structures. At the outset, numerical examples of flat and spatial truss will be presented when uncertainties exist in the overall stiffness matrix of the structure. Examples of such parameters to be determined are: nodal displacements, internal forces in the bars, internal stresses in the bars, the deformations of the bars and the support reactions. For this, computational solution will be obtained, using Interval Analysis and the Finite Element Method. In order to support the solution of the proposed problems and to enable understanding, the necessary fundamentals of Interval Arithmetic and the Finite Element Method will be presented. To validate the proposed method, numerical results and simulation graphs will be presented using the Monte Carlo Method.
