Resumo

Abstract. Several experimental and theoretical studies of the combustion in porous media such as coal or wood particles in a fixed bed have been conducted in order to understand the phenomena that occur during the combustion process in porous media such as heat and mass transfer. To understand these processes of complex interpretations, a combustion reactor was developed and filled with a porous solid material, pellets, predominantly spherical in geometric shape, consisting of a mixture previously defined with a percentage of clay, fly ash and charcoal. The Data generated by the combustion reactor were recorded by " Paperless Recorder ". To validate the results a computational analysis was implemented by a computer program developed by the University of Toulouse. The results generated experimentally and numerically were plotted and analyzed.
