ANALYTICAL SOLUTION OF ACOUSTIC CAVITY RIGID COUPLED TO A FLEXIBLE PLATE IN FREE VIBRATIONS

Resumo

The passenger compartment of an automotive vehicle can be seen in the roughly as its flexible structure coupled acoustic cavity. The vibration transmitted by the structure due to the engine or trepidation of the track, generates acoustical disturbances inside the cavity responsible for audible discomfort of passengers. This problem of vibroacoustic, relatively complex, their study can be simplified to simpler geometries in order to apply more easily techniques of analytical, numerical and experimental analysis. This work presents the analytical solution of natural frequencies and modal shapes for rigid rectangular acoustic cavity coupled to flexible plate using the method of separation of variables. The analytical solution is compared with numerical results and experimental tests.
