SOFTWARE FOR CALCULATING THE FUEL FLOW AND OPTIMIZATION OF THE MIXTURE OF RAW MATERIALS AND FUELS A CALCINATION PROCESS

Resumo

Lime industries of the Central-West region of Minas Gerais still operate with low technology. This results in low energy efficiencies, high fuel consumption and large environmental impacts. The software developed is aimed at optimizing the dosage of the mixture of raw materials and fuels, as well as the calculation of the fuel flow in the process of calcination. To reduce the cost of production was developed an optimization model that meets the requirements of product quality and environmental constraints. With this software it was possible to carry out a case study in an industry located in the Central-West region of Minas Gerais. Also evaluated the possibility of replacing the fuels used traditionally for alternative fuels.
