Resumo

Centrifugal compressors are key assets to oil and gas production platforms. Compressors man- ufacturers provide a regulatory control which is normally able to keep them away from surge conditions. But changes in gas composition combined with variations in the suction flow-rate is still able to cause un-programmed compressors stop. This paper presents the modeling of a compressor station composed of two three-stage com- pressors and the use of Fuzzy logic to assist the regulatory surge control, decrease power consumption and gas flaring.
