Resumo
The Brazilian electrical sector is facing major changes due to modernization of electrical equipment, which makes them compact and efficient, generating significant changes in operational profile of consumers due to the use of devices with power electronics. Non-linear loads have become one of the main agents responsible for power quality degradation of the electricity delivered to the consumers. Consequently, computational studies have become important as a way to identify possible consumer units which contribute significantly to the propagation of harmonics in the distribution grid. Therefore, this paper aims to demonstrate the use of a power quality tester for evaluation of the contribution of harmonic loads and the network itself to harmonic distortion in voltage. For this, we used the saturation curve of the power transformer. The representation of harmonic loads was possible from measurements carried out in the North of Brazil.
