Impacto da interpolação de sinais de unidades de medição sincronizada de fasores

Resumo

This paper presents an investigation concerning the data interpolation on phasor measurement unit (PMU) signals subject to incomplete information due to data failure during its synchronized transmission to a PMU data concentrator (PDC). The methodology is discussed considering illustrations with practical data obtained from the PDC. The techniques based on linear interpolation and piecewise cubic Hermite interpolating polynomial (PCHIP) are evaluated. Experiments with and without interpolation are carried out with the main purpose of demonstrating the impact of data failure on a real signal. The test results illustrate how important is to consider an adequate interpolation technique when data failure exists on a PMU signal.
