Resumo
Intense agribusiness, potential carbon credits, and strongly polluted waterways led to a strong interest in biogas production in Brazil thirty years ago. Nevertheless, despite an ideal climate, biodigesters in Brazil have not been successful due to a lack of appropriate technical instruction and incentive. This paper aims to provide a better understanding of the biodigesters chemical reactions and present some different types/technologies of biodigesters.
