SOLAR CHIMNEYS

Resumo
This paper aims to present the concept of solar chimneys, a possibility to produce electricity in a renewable way. Often referred to as a thermal chimney, this is a method to improve the natural ventilation of buildings by using convection of air heated by passive solar energy. In short, a solar chimney is a vertical shaft utilizing solar energy to enhance the natural stack ventilation through a building.
