Resumo
The ''sailboat'' is a stable region in the Pluto-Charon discovered by Giuliatti Winter et al. (2010), who also showed this region is associated with a family BD of periodic orbits (Broucke, 1968) derived from the planar, circular, restricted three-body problem. The purpose our research is to extend the work of Giuliatti Winter et al. (2014) looking for the existence of the Sailboat for any binary system. We analyzed this region through numerical simulations of the test particles of S-type orbits in hypothetical systems with different values of mass ratio (µ) and for several orbital configurations. Our results show the sailboat is robust and it exists for µ=[0.05,0.27] and for large intervals of argument of pericentre and inclination.
