APPLICATION OF HEAT RECOVERY IN OUTDOOR AIR FOR OFFICE BUILDINGS IN BRAZILIAN CITIES

Resumo

This paper demonstrates the application of heat recovery in office buildings in Brazilian cities and analyzes the heat gains due to the outdoor air intake for each city, as well as the different types of heat recovery. The results show that in annual energy saving is possible and that enthalpy recovery presents better gains than sensible recovery in tropical regions. Energy saving ranging from 2% to 12% is obtained depending on the climate conditions.
