ACOUSTIC EVALUATION OF A DENTISTRY CLINIC IN BELÉM-PARÁ

Resumo

The progress of some areas of human knowledge has brought innumerable developments and, in some cases, health risks for the humans, if a few things are not correctly observed. For the dentistry, the tools using during the treatment is one potential source of noise, may be a source of physical and psychological stress. This paper aims to acoustic evaluate and characterization of a dentistry clinic in Belém. The propose evaluation has been realized with the building analysis, identification of internal noise sources and measurements of this levels, and identification of the activities of dentists. The results has been compared with the NBR 10.152 standard, and then, did the tests of reverberation time and acoustic isolation to guide the development of corrective solutions to the problem. So, it is estimated that the building do not have the parameters of acoustic comfort and some proposals for improvements that help in noise absorption within this enclosure.
