Effect of GMAW-P Process Parameters on weld bead geometry using response surface methodoly and anova technique

Resumo

The central composite design (CCD) based on the response surface methodology (RSM) was applied to evaluate the effects of several operating parameters. The model was derived and the response surface plots were developed based on the results. The anova technique was used to test the adequacy of the empirical models and the significance of regression coefficients. Results from the viewpoint of robotic welding are presented, where were determined the best conditions of variable settings indicating the values of the proposed parameters for this kind of processes. Consequently, the response surface methodology was used to be promising technique to obtain the models of weld bead geometry for such studies.
