Resumo
The biodiesel is a biofuel Renewable source which can be produced from different sources of raw materials. Knowledge of equipment efficiency from the use of such fuels contributes to the reduction of costs and allows you to compare and choose the best alternative. This study dealt with the energy and exergy analysis in conjunction pump operating with biodiesel blends passion fruit oil with diesel. Obtained values of Useful Work (Wu) and Reversible Work (Wrev) and the efficiency of the Second Law of Thermodynamics (ƞII). Mixtures were prepared Biodiesel / Diesel, and those submitted to physical-chemical characterization and employed in the motor pump unit. This set was considered as adiabatic device, with flow in steady, uniform properties and single stream, disregarding the kinetic and potential energy changes. Obtained the value of 39,004 kJ.kg-1 for the calorific value higher biodiesel B100 passion fruit. 23.15% of efficiency was observed for the B25 mixture when the system was operating at the maximum flow rate through 29.82% and 27.42% in intermediate flows, and reaching 19.87% efficiency at lower flow.
