Resumo

In mechanical assembly of two wheels vehicles, requesting a major efforts systems is the steering column. The theoretical and experimental approaches, column of weldability parameter, are developed and analyzed in the automotive for the quantitative determination of weld solidification variables, such as current, voltage, speed and power rating, and subsequently, diluting, height, depth and heat affected zone. The paper also analyzes the weld bead tensions in relation to harmful external variables its effectiveness. These parameters are compared with other models within their standards and welding specifications. The experimental results are obtained through metallographic test macrograph and mechanical tests in steering columns.
