Resumo
In this paper we present a numerical code to simulate supercritical fluids using a finite difference scheme. Modelling fluids in the vicinity of its critical point has particular issues related to the characteristics of fluids under this condition, mainly the highly variable thermodynamic properties. Specifically, we perform a shock tube simulation, based on real-gas modelling in a Newtonian-Fourier fluid, using some cubic equation of state. Moreover, it is shown results for variable property to verify how this information can affect the numerical output.
