Resumo

Monte Carlo methods have been used in a number of applications, including heat transfer, electromagnetics and neutron diffusion. This paper describes the application of the exodus method, a Monte Carlo method variation, to solve the Laplace equation. Probability matrices generated by the exodus method are stored and later used to obtain the complete solutions of the Laplace equation inside squares and circles. Then, a Schwarz-Christoffel conformal mapping on the unit circle is applied to obtain temperature distributions within stars with different boundary conditions.
