Study of the effect of strain-induced martensite transformation in the 304L stainless steel after cold rolling

Resumo
The 304L stainless steel, which will be studied in this work, has been utilized, for example, in chemical and oil industries as well equipments for pressure vessel. When deformed, this steel can presents transformation induced plasticity (TRIP), corresponding the austenite (FCC) transformation into martensite (BCC). The TRIP effect, for example, increases the strength with good ductility. In this work, will be evaluated the TRIP effect in mechanical properties and changes microstructural, due the martensite formation in 304L AISI steel after cold rolling, by optical microscopy, X-Ray, Microhardness Vickers and Ferritescope.
