Resumo
This paper presents a controller design for an Autopilot in the takeoff phase of flight (Auto Takeoff) using fixed-structure H-infinity based control techniques . The Auto Takeoff system in this work is considered to have previously known optimized pitch angle for each aircraft height for a given aircraft configuration. The following control techniques were explored: SYSTUNE and H-INFINITY STATIC OUTPUT FEEDBACK. A complete rigid body mathematical model with other aircraft systems modeled (such as flight controls, landing gear and hydraulic system) of a commercial aircraft with the capacity of carrying about 100 passengers was used to extract the linear models necessary for the controllers design and used for the non-linear time domain simulations as well. This work defines controller design goals suitable to the real application, shows the design procedure used, validates the designed controllers against the design goals and shows simulations of the Auto Takeoff with optimized pitch angle curves.
