Resumo
The fast expansion of brazilian city, associated without urban planning, affects the quality of life of the population from large urban centers. Thus, the noise has been pointed as being a major source of human stress and to offer health risks. Therefore, this present paper has been used mathematical models for the characterization of traffic noise in one of the busiest avenue of Belém, this one has a diversified geometry and intense traffic in all your extension. In this context, ninety measurements of noise pressure level were made in six different points along the avenue, including counting and classifying of motorcycles, light and heavy vehicles during the acquisitions. Some mathematical models have been used for the preview of statistical levels analyzed in the standard: L10, L50, L90, and the equivalent level, Leq. The results of the mathematical models developed show a close approximation with the experimental values showing that the mathematical models are important tools for noise analysis.
