Wear analysis tools after use of hot air in the turning process with interrupted cutting

Resumo

Turning processes, often in interrupted cutting conditions are present in various operations in the component industry mechanical, or when a specific geometry is required or when the resulting product is machined from a previous step of a process, for example, in forgings. This condition may generate variations in mechanical and thermal loads arising the increased wear on tools, Consequently, there are still in the process can cause financial damage to a company due the drop in productivity. In order to check the wear, damage occurring in cutting tools due to variations thermal occur in this process, taking into account that such an event is considered one of the main responsible for the formation of thermal origin cracks, that motivate the weakening of the cutting edge, bringing the cutting edge microlascamento, especially in hard metal tools. This One study proposes a wear analysis in inserts carbide in turning process with cutting stopped on a ABNT 1020 steel.
