Resumo

Several concert halls has been studied in order to find a relationship between architectural style, its dimensions and the acoustic quality. Two important properties were initially considered: the sound distribution in the rooms from one or two point sources placed on the stage and the room's reverberation time. In addition, according to the results obtained in the analyzes using Raynoise, ceilings composed of several reflectors plans - also called as plates - are designed to correct the lack of sound field homogeneity in the room. It was found that there is significant correlation between the dimension of the rooms, specific to each architectural style, and the distribution of sound pressure level in the environment.
