Resumo
The sensor fusion, sensorial fusion or fusion of sensorial data is a term used in the scientific community which describe the utilization of the magnitudes collected for several measuring systems to obtain a best value for describe the variable of interest. This paper shows the basic theory to understand the more simple techniques for the sensor fusion and several applications, about navigation of mobile robots, automobiles, environmental monitoring systems, welding process control and sensor visual networks. As a result of this work, the current status and future trends of this technology is analyzed.
