Resumo

The Linear Fresnel Reflector (LFR) system is a promising technology that concentrates solar energy that is characterized by potentially be more economical as well as using smaller areas of occupied land. In LFR system a set of mirrors reflects sunlight focusing it into a stationary absorber that consists in a set of parallel tubes inside a trapezoidal cavity, that receives the flow of solar energy from the mirrors below it increasing the temperature of the fluid that passes through the tubes. The focus of this paper is to perform a Steady State thermal analysis of Fresnel concentrator. The developed model allows to simulate the variation of the fluid temperature for different conditions of solar radiation. An attentive analysis will find great working points that can be used to develop a better LFR system.
