Resumo

Indexed tables are devices used in machine tools for the manufacture of parts, reducing machining time for some profiles and maximizing the geometric accuracy. Indexed tables are a variation of the dividing heads, widely used in conventional milling. The machining of cylindrical profile through a Cartesian coordinate system can not produce a highly accurate product due to constructive aspect of the machine itself. The reflection of the need to reverse this situation is the implementation of rotational axes in machine tools. Be in the piece fixing or cutting tool inclination, the inclusion of rotational axes beyond the linear axes increase the performance of machining of machine tools. This paper deals with the design and development of an indexed table of low cost, high accuracy, and can be used on CNC machines, measuring by coordinated and conventional machine tools.
