Resumo
The performance's improvement and cost reduction achieved by microprocessors and power electronics in recent years have enabled the use of induction motors driven by frequency inverters at competitive costs compared to brushed DC motors and also, with much higher reliability and energy efficiency. In this work it is investigated a position control law for a commercial induction AC motor with gear and drive powered by an inexpensive frequency inverter. This proposed control law is simple, efficient to real time implementation and does not depend on prior knowledge of the system's dynamic model. Experimental results, including unbalanced inertia coupled to the actuator's output shaft, showed good robustness in the rejection of external disturbances during reference position tracking.
