Harnessing thermal energy rejected from conditioners air apparatus to water heating.

Resumo

The heating water it to the temperature elevation the same. Applies in restaurants, hospitals, industries, hotels; ranging since comfort to sterilization and disinfection products. However, the main way to heat water is in production unfavorable conditions, since, this is electric energy, considered a noble energy, which increases the cost of the product. Due to this problem, thought up an alternative source for water heating by use of thermal energy rejected by the conditioners air apparatus. Thus, there were performed evaluation about energy potential in capacitors through practical studies having as base to achievement the thermodynamic calculations the demand raised in the Instituto Federal de Educação Ciências e Tecnologia do Estado da Bahia-Campus Salvador. Thus, for a average flow of 1040L / h there was obtained a maximum temperature of 61,9ºC, which can be considered positive and to conclude that the air conditioners have energy potential to heat water whose applications require moderate temperatures. Furthermore, the cost analysis proved up satisfactory since the investment required is only initial to adaptation the equipment. However there is need for an auxiliary system, thermally insulated, for storage of the final product which increases the initial cost of the process.
