Resumo
The increase in energy demanded in all sectors of society has been a disturbing fact in the last decade, because the technological development as a whole requires a greater availability of energy. However the economic and environmental issues are always associated with the energy issue, making necessary the search for maximum use of available energy. In this context, improvement of efficiency of the equipment becomes a differentiator, as it provides a reduction of manufacturing costs and consequently energy consumption. Thus, this study aims to compare the conclusions reached by several works about certain parameters that influence the calculation of thermal-hydraulic performance of fin-and-tube heat exchangers used in thermal systems and finally provide relevant information for such equipment to be designed efficiently from the energy point of view, in other words, obtain an increased heat transfer without adding on too much pressure loss.
