CHARACTERIZATION OF AN ENTHALPY WHEEL TO HELP THE MOISTURE AND TEMPERATURE CONTROL PERFORMED ONLY BY CONVENTIONAL COOLING

Resumo

This work was to conduct a study of claim characterization of an adsorptive rotor with passive principles (enthalpy wheel) in order to composing a cooling system in which the climatic effects are promoted by both the vapor compression as by an adsorption unit. The motivating pretext is based on the attempt to control the realizer tempertura and moisture present in the air-conditioned environment using adsorption technology and that consequently achieve reductions in costs involved in the control of these parameters currently done only by the vapor compression. In other words, we aim to reduce energy costs and also spending propitiated by the depreciation of environmental health/man. The results presented in this study showed that besides the vantages obtained from the humidity control, the union of a adsorptive unit with passive principles also promotes 100% renewal of indoor air to the air-conditioned environment eliminating potential of carbon dioxide concentações. The promotion of stable conditions for thermal comfort is also one of the advantages of this system, they are achieved by means of heat and mass exchange in the adsorption unit present in enthalpy wheel, using only air from the flow itself refrigerated environment and the external environment.
