Resumo

This article intends to present an application of the MMAS (MAX-MIN Ant System) algorithm with georeferenced relief data to optimize the pumping power between two points defined by the user. The algorithm was applied in three case studies with three bridges linking the origin to the transfer destination. In addition, the case studies consider areas of environmental preservation. The program was developed in Java and presented adequate results because the minimizing the pumping power with smooth relief profile to facilitate the construction of the pipe.
