Resumo

The work presents an analytical and numerical study using the Finite Element Method (FEM) throuhg the commercial software Plaxis 3D Foundations 2.0, from the foundation of a bridge in reinforced concrete, in order to analyze the effects of soil-structure interaction on horizontal and bending moments of the piles. In order to do so, a model of a hyperestatic bridge model with two girders was used and the ground of the infrastructure was taken equal to that of the bridge over the Jaguararibe River, located near the Municipality of Aracati, Ceará. It was observed that the analytical models tended to be less conservative when compared to the numerical results of isolated piles and more conservative when considering the pile group effect. It is concluded that numerical models allow to simulate a greater number of variables of lateral loading of piles, such as the group effect, reason for which the results tended to distance themselves from the analytical models in this study.
