BUCKLING OF CYLINDRICAL PANELS BY A RITZ SCHEME

Resumo

A Ritz scheme is proposed for the linear buckling of circular cylindrical panels with stringers attached to the straight edges. Boundary conditions differ from the classical simply supported ones in the sense that the torsion resisted by the stringers is also taken into account. The Ritz bases are generated from an appropriate integration of the Legendre polynomials. Benchmark data verify the effectiveness of the formulation.
