Resumo

The research consists of a computational model created from the thermodynamic study involving the processes of heat transfer in a prototype Stirling Beta engine produced by aluminum cans used for the construction of the cylinder and upper part where the built-in engine wheel by two CDs that are moved by the crankshaft that receives the movement generated by the internal piston formed by a roll of steel straw trapped by a metallic wire and conjugated by a balloon located at the top of the cylinder that seals the internal fluid (air) of the cylinder and also transfers movement to the crankshaft by varying the temperature and pressure produced within the cylinder which causes the volume of the balloon to increase and decrease, thus contributing to the movement, producing the rotation of the flywheel . Using Comsol simulation software, it was possible to determine various thermal points throughout the cylinder body, the final results taking into account the control volume, the value of the heat source was determined, which in the case of the prototype consisted of a flame In the lower part of the cylinder at a temperature of 623,15 K. In the upper external part of the cylinder has fixed a structure that circulates it in order to perform the function of the radiator of the engine, to thus cool, being composed of water to a Initial temperature of 288,15 K. All these data were considered at an ambient temperature of 298,15 K and 1 ATM pressure. The model drawn from the SolidWorks CAD software of the cylinder and prototype radiator had its dimensions obtained by means of pachymeter measurements, in order to consider an average standard size aluminum can produced in Brazil.
