Resumo

The present work aims to study and to determine computationally a structural reliability of metalized profiles submitted to permanent and accidental through the Monte Carlo method taking into account the probability distribution of both the permanent and accidental loads and the resistance of the material. Since structures such as Aeronautical profiles have been increasingly studied and analyzed by probabilistic means in order to ensure the operation of the structure or structural element cross the determination of probability of failure, as they are subject as inherent uncertainties as Variables such as element dimensions, material properties and applied permanent and accidental loads. The probabilistic structural analysis is the art of formulating a mathematical model within which one can ask and answer the question: What is the probability of a structure behavior in a specific way when given one or more of its Properties, materials, geographic dimensions and properties of a specified way when one or more of its properties, materials and geometric dimensions are given from random nature? " (Ditlevsen and Madsen, 2005). The Monte Carlo method can be described as a statistical method in which a sequence of random numbers is used to simulate problems that can be represented by stochastic processes. The random variables of the reliability problem will be the tensile stresses of the materials composing the profiles, as well as the applied loads.Through statistical analysis, a load will be defined to be applied in the profile to obtain the safety coefficient that can satisfy the equation of equilibrium that requires the Internal loads are equal to the forces of the cross-section.Comparing the performances obtained in several tests will conclude on the structural reliability of the profiles.
