STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS OF MONOPLANE IPUC001-CARCARÁ WING BOX, UNDER ULTIMATE LOAD AND USING THE FINITE ELEMENTS METHOD

Resumo
The objective of this work is to evaluate, in a simplified way, the behavior of the wing structure of the aircraft IPUC001-Carcará with maximum load. The structural analysis is based on applying the load corresponding to the total weight of the aircraft distributed in the wing, multiplied by a maneuver factor and by a load factor, which is divided into two standard load types (limit load and ultimate). With this analysis it is possible to analyse efforts of the wing and to evaluate the main criteria of static verification, according to Von Mises and Minimal Main stress criteria. The aircraft fits in the experimental category and is entirely developed by PUC-MG, has trapezoidal wing, is monoplane and biplace. Several simplifications were made in the modeling of finite element computational structural analysis, aiming at evaluating the main elements such as longitudinal members, ribs, skins and reinforcement, without many particularities of the connections between elements and constructive details.
