Resumo

The purpose of this work is to present an adaptive and enriched view for the vibration phenomenon of bars and trusses in a CAD mapping context. By the use of NURBS shape functions as partition of unity and the geometry exactness with global mapping, descendant from isogeometric concept, a pure isogeometric formulation for bars is proposed. The GFEM philosophy for free vibration analysis is presented and a NURBS based formulation is proposed. Based on numerical experiments, the efficacy of the presented algorithm is tested considering convergence and frequency error spectra. The NURBS based algorithm presents flexibility to change partition of unity parameters and the advantage to describe a global behavior as a local parametric function.
