Resumo
Nowadays, besides the growing popularity of steganography, there is a big interest from researches in the development of strategies that easily detects use of steganography with low computational cost, in order to increase speedup and, at the same time, to achieve better solutions. Steganography is the art of hiding an information that makes it difficult to detect such a message. This information is hidden inside another information of minor relevance, as an image, a video or a text among others, for that context. In the case of this study, we use the image as a vehicle. In contrast with what is proposed in the literature this study presents a new matemathical model to predict if there is a hiding message in an image. For this purpose, we developed a software, that analyzes and classifies a pixel according to his color and neighborhood through statistics proximity measures, for within the context of an image, it is expected that the color change is gradual within small regions. In addition, this study also presents a comparison of the results obtained using two statistics proximity measures: Arithmetic Mean and Variance.
