Resumo

An exact solution, based on Lévy method, is presented for the linear buckling of axially compressed circular cylindrical panels with stringers attached to the straight edges. The boundary conditions differ from the classical simply supported ones by taking into account the torsional and warping rigidities of the stringers. The reported exact buckling solutions may be valuable as benchmark data.
