Resumo

The insertion of nonlinear sources in the Brazilian electrical system increased significantly in the last few years, mainly due to the connection of wind and photovoltaic (PV) farms in the Power Grid. Regarding this growth, Power Quality studies are required in order to evaluate the impact of these new installations on the system, especially in relation to voltage harmonic distortions. In Brazil, the National Electric-System Operator (ONS), by means of its Grid Procedures (submodules) and the Technical Note 009/2016, is responsible for regulating and standardizing the required power quality studies and measurements for connecting nonlinear installations in the Power Grid. In this context, this paper performs an analysis on the Measurement Campaigns process described in the Technical Note 009/2016 Rev.02, aiming to propose improvements in the presentation of the flowcharts and in the current methodology applied.
