Proposal Toward the Achievement of Dielectric and Thermal Withstand Limits for an Inverter Air Conditioner

Resumo

Abstract - The present paper proposes thermal and dielectric withstand limits for an air conditioner with inverter technology. In order to validate the implemented model, mathematical expressions characterize the appliances electrical behaviors during overvoltages and overcurrents situations. Additionally, laboratory tests were carried out at destructive level for collecting the variables indicated in equations. Anticipating an increase in the use of these devices, this work contributes with relevant information used in products performance evaluations against disturbances in the electric network. Therefore, it is expected from this article that by means of new supportability parameters, more consistent analysis of possible reimbursement cases may be made.
