Calculation of Maximum Number of Wind Turbines in the Connection of a Wind Park by the Hosting Capacity

Resumo

The impact of grid connection of wind or solar power plants on the energy quality indicators of Brazilian National Interconnected System requires previous power system planning studies. In such studies, the violation of harmonic distortion limits become imperative for determining the number of wind turbines or photovoltaic inversion units concomitantly connected into a bus. The secure number of units calculated must take into account mitigating control actions and/ or additional analysis that would be carried out. Thus, this article intends to calculate the maximum number of wind turbines and photovoltaic inversion units based on the current regulation. The proposed criterion is stated from the hosting capacity and is validated in four simulations.
